　Euglena Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President: Mitsuru Izumo) has been an outside director since the Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders scheduled to be held on December 18, 2020 at the Board of Directors meeting on October 23, 2020. We are pleased to inform you that Mr. Etsuko Okajima has resolved to assume the post of Director CHRO (Chief Human Resources Officer).

　On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of our founding, we renewed our corporate identity (CI) * 1 in August 2020, and set "Sustainability First" as "what Euglena In order for us to realize social change speedily, the growth of colleagues and organizations is the most important theme, and it is necessary to strengthen the management system that can strongly promote it. Therefore, Mr. Etsuko Okajima, who was an outside director and has a track record in developing management personnel and leader personnel, has been appointed as director CHRO, and will hire key positions, develop next-generation leaders, foster a corporate culture, build a personnel system, etc. We decided to take the lead and promote sustainable organization and human resource development.
　Together with the second generation CFO, Rena Kawasaki, who announced on October 19, 2020 * 2, we will aim for a sustainable future with a CXO system of four people.
　Since Mr. Okajima is an outside director at many companies, he will be part-time, but he will drive the growth of the Company with a strong commitment.
