 Euglena Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President: Mitsuru Izumo, hereinafter Euglena Co., Ltd.) is cooperating with Yokohama City, Chiyoda Corporation, Itochu Enex Co., Ltd., Isuzu Motors Ltd., and All Nippon Airways Co., Ltd. , We are pleased to announce that we will promote the commercialization plan of domestic bio-jet diesel fuel toward 2020. Specifically, we will construct Japan's first bio-jet diesel fuel production demonstration plant in the Keihin coastal area of Yokohama City, aiming for operation in 2018.

 Currently, led by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, etc., the establishment of the "Path Review Committee for the Introduction of Bio-Jet Fuel for the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Tokyo Games", etc. Promotion is being made to bio-convert fuels.

 Euglena Co., Ltd. started research on biojet fuel in May 2010, and started research and development of biodiesel fuel together with Isuzu Motor in June 2014, and in June 2015, it was one of the biofuel manufacturing technologies. We have entered into a license agreement and engineering agreement for a biofuel isoconversion process technology with Chevron Lummus Global & Applied Research Associates (Note) in the United States to promote the realization of biojet diesel fuel production. With the cooperation of Yokohama City, Chiyoda Corporation, Itochu Enex, Isuzu Motors, and All Nippon Airways, we have decided to implement a plan for the practical application of domestic bio-jet diesel fuel toward 2020. bottom.

 Construction of a bio-jet diesel fuel production demonstration plant started in the summer of 2016 at the Keihin Plant of Asahi Glass Co., Ltd. in the Keihin coastal area, where Yokohama City aims to "form a base in the environment and energy fields" (planned), and within 2017 Is scheduled to be completed and start operation in the first half of 2018. In addition, we plan to promote the planning of commercial plants after the demonstration plant is put into operation.
