-Implementation of technology demonstration project for CO2 separation / recovery in biogas and microalgae culture-
Euglena Co., Ltd.
Euglena Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President: Mitsuru Izumo, hereinafter referred to as the Company) is jointly promoting "CO2 separation and recovery in biogas" with Saga City Sewage Purification Center and Toshiba Corporation. We are pleased to inform you that the "Technology Demonstration Project for Microalga Cultivation" has been adopted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's 2015 "Sewerage Innovative Technology Demonstration Project (B-DASH Project)".
In this demonstration project, CO2 generated by culturing microalgae such as Euglena (Japanese name: Euglena) using sewage containing nitrogen and phosphorus and CO2 generated in the process of sewage treatment. We will demonstrate a culture method that makes effective use of the above and the effect of reducing nitrogen and phosphorus in sewage. In addition, we will examine the possibility of using this culture for feed and fertilizer of microalgae containing nitrogen and phosphorus.
The details are as follows.
