(Headquarters: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo, President: Mitsuru Izumo) is a "strategic next-generation biomass energy utilization technology development project (next-generation technology development)" of the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO). We are pleased to inform you that in March of this year, we decided to extend the two-year research period in the research and development and technological development of biofuels made from Euglena etc., which we have been conducting since 2010. ..
　The period of the project by NEDO is supposed to be two years in principle, but this time it was put into practical use because it produced research results that are expected to have a ripple effect related to biofuel production between 2010 and 2012. The extension of the research period was approved to further advance the research toward. With this renewal, the contract period will be from July 29, 2010 to March 20, 2014.
　We will continue to research biofuels and develop technologies together with our joint research partners.
