　Our company was founded in Bangladesh, where President Izumo visited when he was a student, when he witnessed children suffering from malnutrition and decided to solve nutritional problems. Izumo, who returned to Japan with the desire to find a nutrient source that would allow them to live a healthy life, met Euglena a microalgae with abundant nutrients in a well-balanced manner.

The impact is especially noticeable in low-income slums, where some lockdowns continue to this day. Under these circumstances, we are now returning to the starting point of solving nutritional problems, and from June 2020, in the slums where many families of students attending schools targeted for the program in the capital city of Dakka are included. [History of the Euglena
April 2014:
Started free distribution Euglena cookies to about 2,000 children living in the slum area at an elementary school in the capital city of Dhaka.

April 2016:
Started blood test and body measurement to measure the effect of the program.

September 2017:
We have started a new management model in which local NGOs and elementary schools who support the activities of the program support 4 yen per bag of cookies.

December 2017:
Distribute 200,000 Euglena cookies as food support to Rohingya refugees.

February 2018:
As a step toward nationwide expansion in Bangladesh, a program has started at a school in the suburbs of Dhaka.

April 2019:
On the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the program, the products covered by the program will be expanded to all Euglena

March 2020:
The local school is closed due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection. For the first time, students at the schools covered by the program will not receive the Euglena
(Note) However, since Euglena cookies were in stock at the school, schools with student accommodations on campus will be provided until the stock runs out. Each school has a track record of deciding students' school days and distributing them while maintaining their social distance.

June-July 2020:
　Euglena cookies as food support to slum residents in Dhaka, who are suffering from food shortages and soaring prices due to the effects of city blockages (lockdown) (distribution period: June 11 to July 5).
With this distribution, the cumulative total has exceeded 10 million meals.
(Note) 400,000 meals is equivalent to the total quantity of undistributed Euglena cookies from March 17th to the end of May when the school was closed.

September 2020:
　Euglena cookies as food support to students attending schools run by OBAT Helpers who cooperated with the distribution of 400,000 meals (Distribution period: September 5 to 25) * 5.
