Creating rural employment and increasing farmers' income through agriculture have become important issues in order to improve the standard of living of rural farmers, and Euglena Co., Ltd. and Grameen Euglena Co., Ltd. will expand in Bangladesh from October 2014. Through the "Green Bean Project," we aim to raise the income of farmers suffering from poverty. In the "Mung Bean Project", Euglena Co., Ltd. and Gramin Euglena provided guidance on mung bean cultivation techniques to Bangladeshi farmers and built a system to purchase mung beans directly from farmers without going through an intermediary. As a result, Euglena is able to purchase mung beans from farmers at a price higher than the market price, which contributes to increasing the income of farmers in Bangladesh.
