Notice regarding personnel changes of directors
Euglena Co., Ltd.
Euglena Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President: Mitsuru Izumo) is a candidate for director to be discussed at the annual general meeting of shareholders scheduled to be held on December 21, 2018 at the board of directors meeting on September 20, 2018. We have resolved the personnel change plan for the following, and we would like to inform you as follows. This matter will be officially decided after the approval of the General Meeting of Shareholders, the Board of Directors after the General Meeting of Shareholders, and Keio University, which is the main school of new candidates.

1. Purpose
For the purpose of accelerating the separation of the supervisory function and business execution function of the Board of Directors, two internal directors who also serve as business execution will be dedicated to Executive Officer, and one outside director will be newly appointed.
As a result of this transfer, Executive Officer will concentrate on business execution and will further strengthen the management oversight function of the board of directors, which is composed of half of the outside directors.
