　Euglena Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo, President: Mitsuru Izumo) constructed "Euglena Production Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd." (hereinafter referred to as "new research institute") in Ishigaki City, Okinawa Prefecture, on October 11th. We are pleased to inform you that it will be completed and completed, and that it will start operation from October 31st.

　The new research institute will be constructed in the area adjacent to the production plant of Ishigaki Euglena *, and by strengthening cooperation with the production site and expanding on-the-job research, the production technology of Ishigaki Euglena will be developed. We conduct research related to improvement, quality improvement and stabilization.
* Powder of microalgae Euglena (Japanese name: Euglena) produced by our company in Ishigaki Island, Okinawa Prefecture.

　In the future, we will utilize the laboratory on the Hongo campus of the University of Tokyo as a base for basic research and the new research institute as a base for research on productivity improvement, and establish and put into practical use algae-related technology centered on Euglena We will proceed with research and development toward.

1. 1. Utilizing close mutual feedback with the production site and on-the-job research, we will develop technology to improve the efficiency and quality of the production process of Euglena produced in Ishigaki.
2. 2. We will continue to improve the culture method and production process, and build a production system for the development of new standard products.

As a facility that considers people and the natural environment, by introducing a solar power generation system, part of the total power used in the new laboratory will be covered by solar power generation, and by using a high-reflectivity coating material for the outer wall, the sun will shine. We aim to reduce the amount of power used by suppressing changes in the temperature inside the new laboratory.
