GENKIプログラムのための新たな仲間の採用と来期の目標達成に向けて
【2016年3月の活動報告】

Introduction

Thank you to everyone for always supporting this program. This year, we have set a goal of distributing 1 million meals, an increase of 150% from the previous year, but thanks to the end of March, we were able to distribute about 1.04 million cookies.
In the next fiscal year, we plan to distribute about 6,000 meals a day and 1.5 million meals a year. Therefore, we are preparing to conclude a contract with a school that has about 1,000 students in April.

1. About blood test

It is finally possible to carry out this inspection. With the support of Grameen Communication (GCC), from April 17th, 100 children aged 8 and 9 will be tested for a total of 200 people. Children of each year Euglena one year and children who will eat them, and the tests will be conducted by gender, with a total of eight patterns. This inspection was scheduled to start in February this year, but we apologize for the delay in obtaining approval and the delay in starting in April.

2. School removal

The Mamunur Rashid SUROVI School, which runs the GENKI program, has been removed. Our school was built on government land without permission and was decided to be abolished due to its illegality. Children can transfer to another school and continue studying, but since the transfer destination is not a target school for the GENKI program, they can no longer eat cookies every day. Our school has about 300 students, and it is a pity that we are no longer eligible for this program. I would like to report that there is such a reality in slums. (Photos 1, 2, 3)

After graduating from the University of Dhaka, I also worked at an NGO and a facility for the disabled, and I sympathized with our policy and became a new companion. I hope that he will play an active role in managing the GENKI program in the future. (Photos 4, 5, 6)
