バングラデシュのお母さんからの手紙とGENKIプログラム新規校契約
【2016年9月活動報告】

1.First of all

Thank you for your continued support of the Euglena
This month, following July, there was Eid, a Muslim holiday. The first ede of July celebrates the end of Ramadan (fasting month). On the other hand, the second Eid in September is also called "sacrifice festival" in Japan, and each family holds an event to slaughter cattle. School children also take more time off during this second ed, than they should have, and return to their hometowns to celebrate Muslim holidays.

2. New school contract

This month, we signed a new GENKI program contract with Matrichaia School, which has less than 300 students in Dhaka.
Mr. Amin (Photo-1; second from the right), the chairman of the SMC (School Management Committee) of our school, said, "By providing nutritious cookies for lunch, we will be in class. You will be able to concentrate, and students in poor families will not be hungry because they cannot pay for lunch. "

3. Voices of students and their mothers eating Euglena

I received a letter from Mr. Koshi and his mother, Beauty, who are enrolled in Noyontar Elementary School. The letter states that Mr. Koshi is looking forward to the cookies distributed at school every day and goes to school every day, and that he is in better health than before eating the cookies. He also mentions that not only the health of his daughter but also the health of the children around him has improved, and the atmosphere of the school has improved.

We may do this on a regular basis to deliver cookies to our children every day. In addition to visiting teachers at each school and checking the inventory and storage environment of cookies, we also visit the production line of NABISCO, which manufactures Euglena We value each and every small check to prevent children from not receiving cookies or having quality concerns.

5. What is the second Eid (Sacrifice Festival)?

The people of Bangladesh value Eid very much. Second Eid is a very important holiday for Muslims as well as a meaningful day for children.
On the day of Eid, each family will slaughter cows and dedicate them to God. In addition to cows, we also slaughter animals such as goats and sheep that Muslims are willing to eat. This Eid is a festival for children because you can get in touch with livestock such as cows.
The children of the GENKI program also take care of the healthy cows and goats that their parents bought by feeding them and washing their bodies. And when Eid arrives, the cows and goats are slaughtered with gratitude and the meat is served. In Japan, you buy already packed meat at supermarkets, but you can learn how to appreciate food by slaughtering animals at home.
