GENKIプログラム対象校にて、血液検査診断書配布
【2017年3月の活動報告】
1. Report for this term
Thank you for always Euglena As of the end of March 2017, we distributed a total of about 1.65 million cookies to the target of 1.5 million meals for this term (April 2016 to the end of March 2017), and we were able to successfully complete the third year. rice field. In the next term (April 2017 to the end of March 2018), we aim to improve the attendance rate of children at the current contract school and distribute 2 million meals.
2. Distribution of blood test medical certificate
In November last year, we conducted blood tests on about 310 children at three schools and distributed medical certificates to their parents. In particular, the parents of many children with anemia symptoms carefully explained the test items from their doctors. Specifically, it is nutrition improvement advice such as "Intake a lot of small fish to supplement iron, and try to eat vegetables and fruits to boost immunity". Maruf, a first-year student who received the explanation, said, "This was my first blood test because we can't afford to have a blood test, but it's a little nutritious. I will try to feed them. "

3. Start distributing cookies to orphans
The GENKI program currently targets 39 schools for cookie distribution. Although the children in these schools are poor but have parents or one parent, about 100 students at the Bauniabadh Model School are children who have been orphaned for some reason. At the strong request of NGOs and teachers, we started distributing cookies at this school in March. This facility does not provide enough food and children are eating an unbalanced diet. I expect that nutritional status can be improved by continuing to eat cookies in the future.

4. Job introduction of local staff Yousuf
This month, I would like to introduce the work of Yusuf, a local staff member. His job is to visit the school every day to meet with the principal, teachers and children to find out about improvements and problems with the program. It is also important to monitor the proper distribution of cookies to children. There are many complaints and requests, but the hardest part is to persuade the teacher. This program cannot be promoted without the cooperation of the teacher, but it is premised on good faith support. Some of them do extra work, so we may ask them to take care of them, or to distribute cookies to their teachers. The teacher is not wealthy either, so in my opinion, I try to make sure that I can't afford to distribute cookies to as many children as possible. We would like to report that we were able to distribute 1.6 million meals this year by continuing such work steadily.

5. Summary
In April, the GENKI program will enter its fourth term. Initially, we started with 2,000 meals per day, but this year we have expanded to 7,000 meals. We are grateful for the support of everyone who supports this program and the sponsor companies. thank you very much. Next year, we will narrow down our wisdom and devise ways to distribute cookies to 5,000 registered students who have not eaten cookies for some reason out of the approximately 12,000 registered students. We will also carefully select the distribution destinations that require cookies. Thank you for your continued support.
